Small Hive Beetle Universal Entrance Trap for all beehives - Langstroth, Top bar, and Warre.  Catches and kills small hive beetles as they try to enter the hive.  Has 2" deep oil reservoir, for vegetable oil or diatomaceous earth.  No chemicals are needed.  Hive leveling is not required.  Entrance feeders can be used with this trap on 10 frame Langstroth hives.   Mounts directly to Beetle Jail "Screened bottom board with rear trap" or standard 22" Langstroth bottom board using Beetle Jail adaptor.  May also be mounted to Top Bar hives and Warre hives. Comes with a small screen to place over hole in inner cover, so beetles cannot enter through inner cover hole.   The wood is Poplar and is dipped in Wood Life Classic, a wood preservative which prevents mildew and fungus, is not an insecticide, and is a primer for paint.  Traps should be painted with a good quality water based exterior paint.  The oil reservoir is molded polypropylene and is dishwasher safe (top shelf).   Beetle Jail Entrance traps can easily be removed in winter, when beetles are not active, and entrance reducers may be used as usual.    When the entrance trap and screened bottom board, are ordered together the adaptor is included at no charge.  Made in USA
